Abstract: Traditional logistics infrastructures and even more so modern IT infrastructures are vulnerable to disruptions of all types. As recent natural disasters have shown, the more globalized and more interdependent the modern economy has become, the more dramatic the impacts can be. The talk starts with an overview of business continuity planning and then moves on to selected advanced approaches for improving the resilience of IT infrastructures, underlined by examples of advanced business continuity models.
