Abstract: IT-Security and risk management are of utmost importance to the reliable execution of logistics processes. Only by appropriately securin the underlying IT infrastructure it is possible to run and uphold robust logistics processes. This talk will introduce fundamental principles to security, common security management practices, and information security risk management/analysis concepts. The audience will learn how to calculate basic risks and identify suitable mitigation strategies.
Bio:Dr. Stefan Fenz (CISSP) is a researcher atVienna University of TechnologyandSBA Research. From 2012 to 2015, Stefan is an appointed member of the European Network and Information Security Agencyrsquos (ENISA)Permanent Stakeholder Group. In 2010, Stefan worked as a visiting scholar atStanford Center for Biomedical Informatics ResearchatStanford University (USA). In 2008 and 2009, Stefan worked as an information security lecturer atKonkuk University (Seoul, Korea)andUniversity of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien (Vienna, Austria). His primary research is on information security, with a secondary interest in semantic technologies and named entity recognition. Stefan received an MSc in software engineering internet computing from Vienna University of Technology, an MSc in political science from University of Vienna, an MSc in business informatics from Vienna University of Technology, and a PhD in computer science from Vienna University of Technology. He is a member of the IFIP WG 11.1 ndash Information Security Management, the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society and ISCsup2.
