摘要:Full evaluation of job training programs involve the effects on
employment as well as those on wages or labor earnings.Difficulty arises because wages or labor earnings are not defined for those who are not employed. We present a principal stratification approach applied to a randomized social experiment. Our estimands are formulated in terms of: (i) the effect of the training program
on wages or labor earnings for those who would be employed whether
they were trained or not, and the proportion of people in this category;(ii) the wages or labor earnings when trained for those who would be employed only if trained, and the proportion of people in this category;(iii) the wages or labor earnings when not trained for those who would be employed only if not trained, and the proportion of people in this category; (iv) the proportion of people who would not be employed whether trained or not. We will discuss large sample bounds and maximum likelihood estimation.
