Linda M. Collins, Ph.D.,is Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, Professor of Statistics, and Director of theMethodologyCenterat thePennsylvaniaStateUniversity. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology from theUniversityofSouthern California. Dr. Collins has over 25 years of experience teaching applied statistical methods at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Her research interests lie primarily in two areas: experimental design, and analysis of longitudinal data. Dr. Collins’ research has been funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health continuously since 1984. She has published more than 100 articles and chapters in a variety of scholarly outlets, ranging from quantitative journals likeStatistics in Medicine,Psychometrika,IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, andPsychological Methods, to subject-matter journals such asPrevention Science, Annals of Behavioral Medicine,andDevelopmental Psychology. She has co-edited six books or special issues of journals, and is co-author of a recent book on latent class and latent transition analysis. Dr. Collins has given more than 100 invited talks at universities and conferences in theUnited Statesand abroad. Dr. Collins has received numerous academic honors, including the R. B. Cattell Award for Distinguished Multivariate Behavioral Research, the USC Psychology Department Teacher of the Year, and the Penn State Faculty Scholar Medal for the Social and Behavioral Sciences. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science, and has served as President of the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology and the Society for Prevention Research.

John W. Graham, Ph.D., is Professor of Biobehavioral Health at thePennsylvaniaStateUniversity. He received his Ph.D. degree in Social Psychology from theUniversityofSouthern California. Dr. Graham has over 25 years of experience teaching applied statistical methods mainly at the graduate level. He has been involved in NIH-funded research continuously since 1982. His research interests relate primarily to methods of program evaluation, especially missing data analysis and design.
Dr. Graham has published more than 70 articles and chapters, including 26 highly cited papers describing basic research on missing data analysis and design and substantive studies making use of missing data procedures. His methodological research has been published in a variety of scholarly outlets, includingApplied Psychological Measurement, Multivariate Behavioral Research, Evaluation Review, Psychological Methods,and theAnnual Review of Psychology.He has also published more content-oriented work in journals such asJournal of Behavioral Medicine, Health Psychology, Preventive Medicine, Journal of Clinical and Consulting Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Studies on Alcohol,andPrevention Science.His book,Missing Data: Analysis and Design, is nearing completion, and is due to be published in 2011 by Springer. Dr. Graham has given numerous invited talks and workshops at universities and conferences in theUnited Statesand abroad. In 2004, he received the Presidential Award from the Society for Prevention Research for his work on missing data analysis. This award is given to an individual or a team of individuals who have made a major specific contribution to prevention science research. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Prevention Research.
