Professor Donald Goldfarb and Vice Dean Soulaymane Kachani & Ms. Jenny Mak will be representing Columbia University to talk about Columbia Engineering graduate education (MS and PhD Programs). Ms. Mak will discuss the Columbia MS and PhD Programs in Financial Engineering, Management Science, Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. In addition, she will talk about post-graduation career prospects and provide tips on remaining competitive in the job market.

Donald Goldfarb
Professor Donald Goldfarb has been the interim dean at Columbia Engineering since July 3, 2012. He has been a faculty member at Columbia Engineering since 1982.
Professor Goldfarb's teaching and research interests include algorithms for linear, quadratic, semidefinite, convex and general nonlinear programming, network flows, large sparse systems, and applications in robust optimization, finance, and imaging.
Professor Goldfarb earned a Ph.D. from Princeton in 1966.

Soulaymane Kachani
Professor Kachani has been serving as Vice Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science since July 1, 2011.
Professor Kachani is conducting research in the fields of dynamic pricing, revenue management, logistics, supply chain and inventory management, traffic flow modeling and transportation analysis.
Professor Kachani received a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Jenny S.Mak
Ms. Jenny S.Mak provides leadership and organization to the IEOR Department, specifically in the areas of academic affairs, financial operations, alumni and employer relations, professional development, executive education, and human resources. She liaises and consults with various University offices and agencies.
